Ananda & Ayurveda

About Ananda

Ananda is a Sanskrit word that often translates to “bliss,” which is a part of the cycle of enlightenment. Once we find that bliss, as it fades, we find ourselves truly present in the moment and truly experiencing a micro-moment of enlightenment. I want to help families not just figure out how to survive, but instead how to find that bliss, find moments of peace, connection, and joy within. My hope is to help not just birthing people, but the whole family find their own versions of ananda, even in the midst of sleepless nights, big transitions, and endless new beginnings.

I was inspired to start Ananda Nourishment because I truly believe every family deserves real, grounded support, not just survival tips and cliches. Whether you are navigating your first couple days with a new baby, figuring out how to feed yourself while feeding somebody else, or simply trying to figure out your new normal or find yourself again, I’m here to walk with you until you feel confident holding those reigns. By incorporating yogic and ayurvedic concepts into my evidence based work, I hope to help families find the nourishment they need.

About Ayurveda

Frequently called the sister science of yoga, Ayurveda is an ancient system of Person Centered Medicine (PCM) that honors the deep connections between mind, body, and spirit. It teaches us that nourishment goes far beyond the food we eat.

Ayurveda operates in elemental concepts, and trying to balance the elements of ones self with the universe to work in harmony. Finding the right amount of rest, warmth, community, you can find the rhythm that works best for you. While I do not offer Ayurvedic treatments, my work is inspired by the ancient wisdom and concepts.

I meet each family with gentleness, compassion, and support that aligns with their unique needs and values. My goal isn’t to fix families, but to hold the space and offer evidence based support to help you feel nourished as you grow.
